At the Denistone East Public School (DEPS) P&C Association our purpose is threefold: to represent parents’ voices in working towards common goals with the school; to organise volunteers for school services; and to raise funds for the educational benefit and enjoyment of the school community across the school’s target areas of Literacy, Numeracy, Technology and Grounds.
Raising funds the fun way
We host a number of social and fundraising events throughout the year, including Mother's Day and Father's Day breakfasts, Mufti days, Chocolate Drive, School Disco and Moonlight Markets. We make fundraising fun raising – with the emphasis on celebrating as a community.
Over $500,000 raised
We’re extremely proud that in the last seven years DEPS P&C has raised more than half a million dollars in support of the school. This has been used towards:
- Interactive whiteboards
- Home readers/library books
- Playground equipment
- Stage curtains
- Targeted education programs
- Musical instruments
- Rubber surfacing
- Plants for the grounds
- Canteen renovation
- Air conditioners
- Artificial turf
- Veggie patch materials
P&C Committee meetings take place twice a term, usually on a Wednesday at 7.00pm, in the Staffroom (located in the Main Office block) or over Zoom (in lockdown). For future meeting dates, please check out the What's On page.
